SUCCULENT WREATH Make & Take

Learn how to create a wreath base or foundation for mounting succulents. Workshop will include all materials needed to create an 8-12” wreath using metal wreath ring, moss and succulents. Bring your own glue gun and additional succulents you want to add into your wreath.

Class Fee: $30 for members, $40 for non members

MINI MOUNTED STAGHORN Make & Take

Learn how to mount a staghorn fern on a wood base. You will be able to take home a 6”x12” mounted staghorn fern, as well as learn how to care for and nourish your newly mounted staghorn fern.

Class Fee: $30 for members, $40 for non-members

ENGLISH GARDEN BASKET ARRANGEMENT Make & Take 

Learn how to use living plants to create a magical tabletop garden for a special occasion or cheerful headstart on the summer gardening season. Basket, moss, and a selection of seasonal plants will be provided. Bring your gloves.

CITRUS BOWL ARRANGEMENT Make & Take

Learn how to transform a kitchen staple into a décor thriller for a special summer occasion, or an every-day hack for a more cheerful home.

DIVINE DRIED MATERIALS Bouquet Make & Take

As summer grows hotter and starts to wane, learn how to use local dried materials to create an interesting bouquet to display though out the fall. This bouquet is a fragrant bridge to the holidays.

THANKSGIVING PROTEA WREATH Make & Take

Create a mini wreath out of grapevine twig, protea blooms and fabric ribbons. Add with fall ribbons or holiday accessories. This mini wreath will dry beautifully and last until Thanksgiving. (Protea variety will vary upon harvest availability at the time of class.)

SPOOKY HALLOWEEN ARRANGEMENT Make & Take

Having a difficult time fitting one more cute thing into your house for Halloween? Splurge with this fresh flower bouquet with a few unexpected accessories!

CORNUCOPIA ARRANGEMENT

Create a chrysanthemum arrangement with other seasonal fall flowers to grace the table of your holiday gatherings. Container, foam, and flowers included.

NARCISSUS FOR THE NEW YEAR 

Create a striking four bulb arrangement of Ziva narcissus bulbs and moss in a tall glass container. Holiday touches help to create a magical terrarium arrangement that grows throughout the holidays until the flowers bloom in the New Year. Container, bulbs, moss, and accessories provided.

About the Instructors

Suzanne Johnson is best known for her annual contributions to the SDFA Festival of Trees. She is self-taught, but enrolled in the CGCI Flower Show School this spring. Suzanne is currently the president of SDFA.

Carole Leap has a passion for design and art that she enjoys sharing with others. As an educator, she taught high school students for 25 years. As a designer, she has facilitated special projects and events for schools and non-profit organizations. She is currently building a floral farm, specializing in protea. She is an active member of the California Protea Association, the International Protea Association, and she serves as SDFA 1st VP Programs Chair.
